I haven't had a chance yet to drop in on the ALT.NET Meetup but i'll be there this Wednesday. If you're interested in pragmatic development or just want to listen in on some of the ideas surrounding ALT.NET, go RSVP and join us at the meet up. As a bonus its a "Thinking Man's Tavern" in Decatur which is a cool little cafe with kick ass food.
Will I see you there?

As promised here are the slides and demo's from my talks at the Atlanta Code Camp yesterday. It was a great time and I got to see a lot of attendees and speakers who I haven't seen in a while.
My big embarrassment moment was at the speaker's dinner when I saw David Silverlight and completely forgot who he was (i've met him a number of times). When I heard he'd just flown in from Florida, I asked him, "Did you fly in with David Silverlight?". He promptly replied, "In a sense, yes..." I was so red faced.
On to the slides and demos:
Enjoy!

Atlanta Geek Dinner is now being hosted on Live.com's Events! Please go there and confirm if you want to attend. The November edition will be held in town, probably midtown Atlanta.
Remember, all Geeks are invited...programmers, IT guys, gadget mavens, everyone. This is not limited to .NET or programmers...we welcome a lively discussion. Don't be shy you LAMP and Apple guys!
I noticed that CompUSA was closing about 1/2 their stores so I thought I'd take a look at which ones are closing. Interesting it looks like ALL Atlanta-Area stores are closing. It looks like Augusta and the Alabama stores are staying open. I would guess that the pressure from BestBuy has jsut been too much. The quality of their in-store help has been so bad the last few years that I am crying crocodile tears at their closing, but I am still surprised they can't compete in Atlanta at all.
If you live in the area, remember they are liquidating their stores so there are deals to be had...
The Atlanta Geek Dinner will resurface next month on May 10th. It will be in the Perimeter area (exact restaurant to be choosen this week). Save room on your calendar for a social, networking event. It will be a place to eat and have beer. Please let me know if you plan on coming by sending me an e-mail by clicking this link.
Thanks!
I had a great time tonight giving the WPF presentation for the Atlanta .NET Users Group. I appreciate the great turnout and the great questions.

I was recently point to a brilliant student film where students took four cars out to the Atlanta Perimeter (a highway that surrounds Atlanta) and drove the speed limit to see what other drivers would do.
Brilliant. Simply brilliant.
See it here: "An extraordinary act of public obedience: A meditation on the speed limit and the Perimeter."
I have three tickets for the Astros-Braves playoff game on Thursday night (8pm start). I cannot attend. If anyone in the Atlanta area wants the tickets I can send them to you. Please e-mail me if you're interested and can really go to the game.
